The Rainman

Shot was taken at Izola - the small city on the Slovenian coast. Unique architecture of the ancient town core demonstrates a rich history of a town which was once an island. The ancient part of the town is located on an island which was inhabited already in the first century A.D. and later connected to the coast by a stone bridge. It was surrounded by town walls which were demolished in the beginning of the 19th century and the ruins were used to fill up the sea between the island and the coast. In early 13th century Izola declared independence and became a town with its own laws and authorities.

That is the third photo from Slovenia in my DA gallery - no architecture elements this time rather focusing on an unpleasent but impressive weather conditions. Sometimes even in that beautiful country rains
